Meet the team
Toni Barwell
Independent Care Coordinator
I’ve been working in health and social care for the last 24 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else… this is definitely my vocation
in life. I love that every day is different and I adore working on the frontline, hoping to leave a positive footprint.
I have worked a range of interesting roles, starting my career as a Care Assistant working with people who have learning difficulties, Community Mental Health Worker, Registered Care Manager, Support Worker on
the Endoscopy Unit in hospital, and as an Operations Manager. I have
run a number of government and local funded projects, one raising awareness of Health and Social Care careers, another promoting Dementia Champions and another supporting the training opportunities across the care sector. I used to travel the country to audit care homes that needed to improve their services.
I’ve been working as an Independent Care Coordinator for over five years, I’m walking the journey with people, advocating and fighting for what’s right and just for people and their support networks. I help people plan for their current and future situations, exploring funding avenues, reducing utility bills and introducing equipment to help them stay well. This isn’t a job to me, it’s a way of life, which is how the people I work for can have access to me or the team, 7 days a week, at anytime of the day and night and we act as a responsive service.
My daughter, Millirose, is an integral part of how Unirose was
developed. She is very proud of her amazing role. My husband,
Jamie, is so supportive of this way of life and gets involved as and
when needed. As a family, we all enjoy Taekwondo, love all of our beautiful pets, enjoy Bonsia Trees and nature walks.
Beth Ward
Manager
Hi my name is Beth ward. I am 30 years old and have 3 children.
I live in Bourne.
I have worked in health and social care since 2014 and in this time have worked my way up from care assistant to a CQC registered manager.
I am a kind, caring and passionate individual. I enjoy making a difference in peoples lives and empowering individuals to enjoy life to the full.
I love being faced with a challenge.
I am a strong believer that everything can be fixed and no problem
is too big. Unirose is an exciting new adventure in my life and
I can’t wait to embrace it.
Michelle Moffat
Care Navigator
I have been training as a Care Navigator since February so I’m new
to this line of work, but I volunteer for a support club which I’ve been doing for 6 years.
I am a very caring lady and find this job suits my personality very much.
I am very sociable and friendly.
In my spare time I enjoy bingo, reading and spending time with my nephews and niece. I have been happily married for 10 years to a wonderful man called Chris, we live at Gosberton Risegate.
Jamie Barwell
Handyman
Hi, I’m Jamie, married to Toni and am so proud of her dedication to the people she supports. The woman doesn’t stop working day and night, always popping here or there to help people.
I’m a builder by trade and have been for almost 20yrs. From time to
time I’ve supported Toni to move peoples wardrobes, put up bookcases or shelving and have done some interior painting. I’ve also supported
Toni to fit a few security cameras around peoples homes, as well as making safe paving slabs in a garden.
I have enjoyed holidays and days out with Toni and her people, supporting as a volunteer companion. I like meeting the people
Toni works with as I’m a social and outgoing person. I wish her
and the team all the luck in developing Unirose and look forward
to meeting their new people.
Millirose
Unirose Inspiration & Mini Boss
Our youngest team member, by far the bossiest, Millirose has
grown up with an amazing understanding of her mummy’s caring
roles in social care.
During covid, when care services were limited and trying to recruit personal assistants was challenging, Millirose would attend some
visits with her mummy and became a huge hit with clients.
Millirose will attend some client visits in her school holidays or if visiting after school or if visiting at weekends. Millirose is invited on some holidays and days out by clients/friends and very much enjoys her time with them.
The name ‘Unirose’ was born from Millirose’s love for unicorns! 🦄🌹💕
What Millirose says: “I love being the mini boss of Unirose because
I like helping people and I love being kind and respectful to elderly’s
and it is nice to see people that have a disability, like S and D.
I love going on holiday with them. This is my favourite work
job to be working with people that have disabilities.”
Robin
Physiotherapist BSc (Hons), MCSP
I have enjoyed working as a chartered Physiotherapist, since qualifying
with a 1sr class Honors degree in Physiotherapy, at Coventry in 2013.
I work mostly within Neurological rehabilitation and can draw on experience gained while working within the NHS, across multiple disciplines of Physiotherapy, making me a well-rounded Physiotherapist.
I love doing what I do. Whether it’s maximising someone’s physical
ability who has a degenerative condition and preventing secondary complications, rehabilitation after an injury or helping to get someone
back on their feet after illness. I use a combination of hands-on
physical therapy, educational advice and exercise prescription
to achieve service user goals.
My partner and three amazing children keep me busy in my spare time, who are all growing up so fast. We have two Siberian Huskies, a bearded dragon and love going out as a family to explore the great outdoors.

Testimonials
I would like to commend Unirose and particularly manager, Toni for the positive and proactive approach to care that we saw over the last few months of my late father's life. Sometimes it is extremely hard to cut through the red tape and get things done. Toni appears to be particularly good at this. Unirose has been a great help to us.
A Gray, Norfolk
Both Toni and Michelle have been amazing. They not only care for both my parents in an empathetic and diligent manner, but also they both understand the challenges I have being so far away from them. They both continue to reassure me with updates and advice. They are life changers!
R McCarthy, Kent
Thank you for all the care, support, and consideration the team at Unirose have shown to my mum and stepfather over the last year. I have also greatly appreciated the support you have given me.
We, as a family, could
not have coped without your support over the
last few weeks, and your ongoing support is always greatly appreciated.
